I bought it from Competitive Cyclist - they were bought out by Backcountry.
Sports a couple years ago, so you'll see the same prices on both sites. It's tough sometimes to find bikes in that kind of size. A lot of the smaller manufacturers don't make them that large, and even the big manufacturers like Trek and Specialized only have the XXL sizes in a few models.
It's fine on the hills around here (we have hills, not mountains). I'm not familiar with trails at Pandapas so don't know how it compares. It has a switch (valve) on the top bar for the rear suspension (firm/medium/soft). When I get to the trail I set it on medium or soft and forget it (keep it locked out for the pavement ride to/from). But if I had a long climb it would be easy enough to switch it to firm. Front suspension also has three positions. I think higher level trims have these mounted on the handlebars for easier switching on the fly. You might also try Colorado Cyclist. They built a set of road wheels for me a couple years ago.
